Microaggression/Macroaggression
Micro-aggression is a small, everyday act of racism towards a person bas on race, gender, etc.
Examples:
Richard Sherman was called a "thug" because he was pumped up and started yelling when interviewed.
Daniel call Hunter a "Halfrican" because he is half African and half white.
A man assumed that my younger brother did karate because he is Korean
Lillian is called Richard Sherman because they have similar hair and are both black
Because Daniel is Asian, we assume he will become a doctor or a lawyer
Macro-aggression is a generalized insult towards a large group of people based on race, gender, etc.
Examples:
My dad assumed that our friends working at an Italian deli were related to employees of another deli in Granada Hills.
On Vine, there are multiple Vines about black people being good at basketball
On Vine, there are also multiple Vines about black people all being thugs or gangsters
Daniel thinks that all black people can play basketball
Daniel thinks that all black people rap
